Percival

Meaning & origin

English form of an old French name "Perceval", which goes back again probably on the name "Peredur" of Celtic origin, the conversion of the name was likely to be influenced by a name meaning "perce val" (about " the valley of the crosses ") known as the name of a knight of the Round Table of King Arthur and as the name of an opera by Richard Wagner
